Boat cover

Anyone have experience making a cover for their boat? I guess I will rest the mast along the deck/transom on my V10 to make a tent shape, but wonder how others have attatched the cover to the sides.
My goal is to keep the water out, but also need to figure out how to keep the ducks off of it!

Shotguns work for the ducks, or a large cat! Make sure your cover is well ventilated or you'll get lots of stinking mildew. I've had good luck tying the covers down using lots of bungee cords.
