Should I put my stingers on the outside chine like it was before and one in line with the old motor mounts? Seems like the best places as I want the bottom of the boat supported in the same places it was before. Thoughts? Thanks.

I hope I didnt mess up.
I was watching the epoxy/ gel coat vid and it said only certain epoxies bond with gel coat. I used west marine 105 with 205 hardener when I filled in my transom hole..in fact its all I've used.for everything. I hope this is one of the epoxies that works well with gel coat. I still have to finish/gel coat the outside before the outboard bracket gets installed.

all epoxies bond to gelcoat, but not the other way around. In fact, epoxy will bond to gelcoat better than gelcoat will bond to gelcoat.

BUT, Gelcoat will not bond to most epoxies.

Would your Quikfair fairing putty work to finish it?Its epoxy too. Does it come out white, with the white hardener? (I have some I just bought)

its a light cream color. I would fill the hole 90% with epoxy/woodflour then finish it off with quick fair to make it smooth

I see on the how to section .. splicing plywood for stringers. It shows the max length of 16 ft using two 8' lengths with two ft splices...
How do I make longer than 16 ft stingers with 8 ft lengths of ply? How do I splice it?
May be simple, but I am hoping there is a recipe for maximum strength.
Hope this makes sense.
I was thinking two 8' and a 2' on one side and a 4' 8' and 6' on the other so my splices have the longest span.. the shortest would be 2' on one end.
