Bomar Seconds

Post by Troutlet »

Anybody know anything about Bomar Hatches (inspection/access) that are Seconds? They have a big list on their site with great prices but no guarantees on quality.

Any thoughts would be helpful.
Obviously I'm not worried about them selling out of them or anything. :D

if you could lay your eyes on the stuff and make sure it functions properly .oh yea! it seems as if you are buying it sight unseen and untested though. no returns ouch! i think i would rather buy on ebay or maybe i just missed something there.

I've used Bomar hatches in the past and found them to be well above most others in quality of materials and construction. If the "seconds" are cosmetic only, I might jump on a couple of the listed access hatches myself. I've sent them an email inquiry and will post their reply when it arrives.

Troutlet,

Bomar hatches are great. I used them on the last two boats I built.

I agree, Bomar is what I will probably use just not sure about the factory seconds or not. It might be a great deal, then again it might not  what do you think is it worth the risk? I suppose that we could always buy one of their $5.00 inspection plates and see how it is.
