Cracker L, Savannah hogs?

Post by frazoo »

CL, could you recommend a guide/outfitter for hog hunting along the Savannah River areas? Looking for fair chase, traditional bow.

thanks, frazoo

Who did you decide to go with, Frazoo? The Bostick Plantation has a good reputation http://www.bostick-plantation.com/. A good friend of mine used to guide for them.

You shouldn't have any trouble finding hogs, SC is overrun with them. They just opened night hunting for the first time ever. No closed season, no limit.

Thanks CL, some of the stick shooters recommended Ray Hammond's Hog Heaven. Very low frill and the cost is quite reasonable. Going to use that experience to try to get to know the WM areas over there.
I'll keep Bostick in mind if this doesn't work out.

thanks again, frazoo

Ray also has a good reputation and plenty of hogs. Estill is almost at my back door, well 20 minutes or so. I was just there on Monday delivering a boat. Let me know when you're coming, maybe we can meet up for a beer.

There is a lot of water in the swamps now. Bring your hip waders, lots of bug spray and a head net
