WWII

Post by Troutlet »

Let's especially hear it for all the WWII veterans out there! The new WWII memorial was dedicated in Washington this weekend, nice setup but I was disappointed :? .
If you are ever in southern Virginia, try and see the National D-Day memorial in Bedford. The little town of bedford lost more men per capita than anywhere else in the country.

The memorial is awe inspiring.........I'm getting chills just thinking about it. One of the features is a pool with simulated machine gunfire just like the beaches :!: I went there with my Grandfather (WWII Navy) and it was one of the proudest days I've had.

Thanks to all the vets for keeping us safe and our way of life secure.
