Not an original design. I picked it up from another boat site somewhere.

orthopedic surgery....

No cosmetic plastic surgery here. Unrealistic expectations and "but what about this wrinkle over here?" would drive me to an early grave.

attached a 4x4 and an eye bolt through the sponson drain hole

with my neighbors toy tractor on the front and an engine jack on the back, lifted it off the boat stand

With one hand assist, it lazily rolled over with no jolts or hiccups.

The boat is flipped and bottom is ready for scratch repair and graphite "paint"

surprised that it worked.

What's the best way to fill all the scratches? This was a fairly well used boat and many of these are through the gelcoat and to the roving glass.

options as I see it are
1)epoxy and wood flour
2)epoxy and microballoons
3)quick fair

I have all 3 on hand and would like to do what is best. My gut tells me epoxy and microballoons but I'll await other opinions.

Any of the above will work, I like sanding quickfair or micro balloons more than woodflour. I would give it a good sanding with some 60 grit first.

excellent sir.

I did the 60 grit sanding yesterday. where the trailer and the boat met, the gelcoat had a bunch of dimples that had started. I was able to sand them and its all pretty superficial. No full thichkness cracks.

will start fairing and sanding with micro balloons.

advice is much appreciated.

I'm thinking forward 300 steps but....What is the best way to raise the center console height relative to the deck? I'm 6'2" and despise bending forward to reach controls while operating a boat.

I was thinking of glassing in vertical pieces of plywood on the inside that protrude below the base therefore raising the height when it is finally set in place. I would of course fair it and blend it all together.

All ideas appreciated. (Cracker could also donate one of his special leaning posts if he wants!)

Build a box, glue and glass it to the deck, then glue and glass, or bolt the console onto the box.

 I'm all for paying it forward but....that's a little out of my donation budget. I do have access to a fairly nice leaning post and hard top T-top that was stripped out of the Parker I'm working on. They are going to be for sale cheap. Console too. Probably all too big for your boat though.
