Picture of Bateau2 Rub Rail installed

Post by Steven »

I know ones been posted before but can't find it. I was about to order it last night, but decided I'd like to see a pic of it installed first. Are there end caps available?

NM. I remembered Shine used it on the FS17 Low Sheer so I found pics in that thread. Really ought to add a picture to the product page. I ordered 3' to see if I like it and if it will take the bends around the bow and stern corners.

Good idea.
You are correct: we have tons of information on our sites but it is not well organized.
We are working on it.

I just updated a bunch of links to kit notes and Jamie, our web guy, is looking at re-organizing the HowTo files.

No, I wish the manufacture offered them :|

the drawings are in the discretion, shows dimensions...

Here it is on my FS17, but I mounted it upside down (angle lip on the topside instead of the bottom)

FWIW, I don't prefer the look of the end caps. The rubrail I purchased from Bateau is installed without end caps and I think it still has a neat and finished look.

There are some aftermarket caps available that will fit pretty well. I have seen a couple customers who have made their own with aluminum and they looked very good.
