My Swift Canoe

Post by Bart »

I've just uploaded some pictures to the galleries of the Swift Canoe (SC16) I finished last year .
This is the fourth bateau boat I've built. Before I built a Nice Canoe (NC16), Flat Skiff (FL11/12) and an Orca (SK17). Pictures of my boats serve as showcases at bateau.com (which I am still very proud of).

Feel free to have a look at my pictures and post a comment:

Thanks, Jacques.

I think a "kiekendief" is called a Harrier in English. I am living in a National Park in the Netherlands where this bird of prey is quite common. The SC16 is a perfect boat for me. With a 5 hp outboard it's really fast (almost hits 20 kph with one person on board). I'm also using an electric trolling motor. Due to it's low weight (it weighs exactly 80 kg - the design weight) and it's small beam this also works quite well.

Regards,
Bart
