Kiwi grip over Sterling?

Questions about boat repairs with our resins and fiberglass: hull patches, transoms and stringers, foam, rot etc.

Kiwi grip over Sterling?

Post by bigtalljv »

Hi,

I wanted to put some kiwi grip down on a previously painted surface. It's currently Sterling over aluminum on my engine bracket. Can I just scuff it up good and put the Kiwigrip right on it?

It's the two hatches that cover the big square holes on top of this.

Thanks,
Jason

No problem at all as long as the surface is clean.
We have done it on some prototypes.

Now I just have to see if the dregs of my gallon are enough for 2 sq. ft. :)
