I rinsed my build yesterday. I had to get the dust off, that stuff gets everywhere.
Your looking good Fuzz!

Re: Sintes 21 Rebuild
Looking good, taking notes from this build so I can apply them to mine. I appreciate the detail on materials and methods for stringer and transom repair.

Re: Sintes 21 Rebuild
Thanks guys

So today I got the two other stringers set in place. Just the first round of tabbing done. After it goes off I will add more glass.

And I am done glassing inside the bracket.............maybe. I might get told to bring braces up from the stringers to the top of the bracket

Re: Sintes 21 Rebuild
Thinking about the new gunwales. If they are supported every 18 inches how thick of plywood is needed? 1/4, 3/8 or 1/2

Re: Sintes 21 Rebuild
All my side decks and foredeck are 1/4 ". All backing plates for cleats and rod holders are 1/2" . I did not make individual backing plates
for each rod holder i made long sections . So the back 8 feet of the deck is 3/4 " thick .

Re: Sintes 21 Rebuild
Hey Topwater, what thickness material are the sides and roof on your boat made of?
And you too Eric if it is on your plans.
Heck you two might be up and on the forum before I go to bed if yesterday means anything

Thanks guys
Re: Sintes 21 Rebuild
Hey Buddy,
The sides on my C21 are 1/4", Two layers of biax outside one inside up to the trim line. The design overlaps two side panels, I believe this yields a good bit of extra strength. You really have to build one of Jacques designs to see what he has put into them. I was clueless in the beginning but now I can see why he has designed the build the way he has.
