V12 measurement for mast

Post by Martin-g0rwf »

I have a measurement problem with the mast. On the metric plan it says the mast is raked 3 inches but the measurements given from the center frame is a 21mm difference between top and bottom which in less than 1 inch ? should have ordered the imperial size plans.
Thanks, Martin... :?

Martin,

On my imperial plans the difference from the center frame is one inch. Thats the way I built it and everything worked out fine. Perhaps the three inches refers to the difference at the top of the mast :?:

Thanks Paul,

1inch sounds good, 3inches would have looked a bit strange, couldn't imagine how the boat was going look in the water with that much angle.
I'd better wait for the sun to come up to finish the job. Cheers, Martin...
