Matters to me! Guests go home with fish, one way or another :D
Send me a picture of the reel you want to use. I need to make sure it will fit on one of my poles.

So Tom, and anyone else, I got the numbers you need I hope. The boat weighs 5300 all up with all but people. Add 700 and call it 6000 leaving the dock. Engine is an 1989 200hp 2-stroke Merc. Prop is a 13 pitch solas. At 6000 rpm boat is going 37mph. This is with some throttle left and not trying to get things trimmed out.

There is a planning pad that goes about 6 foot forward and tapers into the keel.

Looking at the bow
And I am having some cavitation on the prop that is causing this I think. You can feel the low spots that have formed. They just showed up this year for some reason

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Fuzz okay I will work up some numbers. I hate to see that cavitation marks on the prop, not good. I still need the length at the waterline I am guessing 18-19 ft.

I have to say the Sintes 21 is a beautiful boat. :D

Sorry I did not start another thread. This boat is the 22 foot Seasport I put the bracket on two years ago. The Sintes 21 is still in the shop waiting on the Big Brain :D
I have no idea why the prop seems to be cavitating. I do not feel anything running or turning. It did not do it last year as far as I know. I am hoping a 4 blade stainless will help with that problem also. I have the motor mounted in the lowest hole. I received a template from the builder with the bracket. They build all of them for the factory new boats so I am pretty sure they have it correct.
Best guess on waterline is 19 foot. I can go measure it if needed.

Fuzz cavitation is usually caused by something in front of the propeller causing the air bubbles that then are drawn in to the prop. Check to see if there is any damage to the shaft in front before the prop. Any sort of ding or dang can cause bubbles that can be drawn into the prop causing cavitation damage. Even a paint chip can cause problems.

The weather has not been the best but other than that life is going ok I guess. Richard and family are in Homer now. In fact they should be fishing halibut on a charter as I write this. On his way back to Sterling he is planning on stopping by and we can talk boats :D We have a silver fishing trip out of Seward planned for Wednesday.
The wind is blowing here so I looked for where AA is at now. Be interesting to learn how much fun they had, 25-30 knots and 7 foot seas 8O
