Hope you all have a great time.

Hi Reid,
The itinerary sounds good. I'll bring or catch some fish for the cookouts.
Jeff,
Can you bring some product to the meet for me?
I need 6 gallons of flotation foam.
What I don't use on "Bare Bones", I'll use on the oft neglected Plyak build.
Jaysen, no whining allowed.
Just kidding, see you at the next meet...

If wanted I could bring some sockeye that SWMBO caught. Little short on Halibut this year

Sockeye on the grill is easy.
First you open a bottle of rum or Tennessee whiskey. Sip a bit right out of the bottle to make sure it's "the good stuff". Get a grill situated but don't fire it up. A couple of lawn chairs and a decent cooler for footrest/table is helpful. Now get a bucket of crushed ice. Make sure the bucket is big enough for your bottle AND a few glasses. Embed the bottle and the glasses in the ice. Then you get a decent fire started in the grill. While that's getting reddy you pour a little of the chilled rum/whiskey into your glasses. Be careful not to waste any of the liquor. You'll need all of it. Drink the glasses empty (put back into ice between sips). Refill glasses and sit around the grill telling stories waiting for the grill to hit the perfect temp. You'll probably need a few more rounds before the grill is perfect so just refill, have a good time and enjoy the company of the guys. About the time that bottle is empty a SWMBO will come get the fish, take it inside and make it edible. If your lucky she won't notice the second bottle going into the ice.
If my memory is correct that recipe spans every generation and culture.

I'm out. My brother called last night and said he's getting married. On. That. Weekend.
What kind of brother gives another brother two weeks notice?! I tried talking him into going to Vegas but he said no.
Next year it will have to be. I was looking forward to meeting everyone and Dori especially.

As my married buddies told me when they found out I was getting married "Good there is no reason you should be happy" Only later did I come to fully realise what I was being told

Hi BBsig,
That is really bad from your brother. You could have attended the meeting if he would have gotten married like me, on a Monday when I did not feel to go to work but rather fetched my fiancee from an overnight flight from London and married her at lunchtime in Johannesburg magistrates court with 2 paid unemployees as wedding witnesses and informed all her and my relatives afterwards. Its not the time between the announcing and marrying that counts but the time after the wedding. In my case 43 years and not being a friend of big celebrations I celebrated my 70 th birthday at last Southeast builders meet. So you see it is never too late to join all our nice fellow builders in a future builders meet.
Greetings from Karl
