Doc, welcome to the Builders Forum!! As already said, you will find a really nice group of guys & gals who really help each other with support, guidance and yes, needed direction from time to time!!! The get-together is completely informal and we just hang-out for the weekend, talk Boats and Boat building and some of us even have an adult beverage or two!!! Jeff and Reid, Looks like we can expect some wet weather, do you guys have enough easy up's for everyone to sit under in case we have some serious rain? I've got a 10'x10' if you want me to bring it down with me. We'll be bringing a home cooked Spinach Artichoke dip with toasted French bread for a side dish. Mike

I really am trying/going to finagle a way to get to this Builders meet and I have a feeling a lot of my questions will be answered regarding the build without me not even having to ask. With my experience level with building and my interest in this OD18 project, I may fit right in! Also, its uncanny and coincidental the meet is going on just as I am in Florida for a bit, and just as I was just about to inquire more into the plans, materials etc for the OD18.

Good question Doc, I was wondering about what the general plan for meeting/looking at the other boats would be if just coming on for the day. It sounds like River Palms is the general meeting place and people will be filtering in and out all day. I'm really looking forward to seeing all of the other boats I've become so familiar with through the forum.
