PK78 Sailing

Post by mmb »

Pictures of my PK78 sailing are online at

http://k2.kirtland.cc.mi.us/~biermanm/l ... BR>
The sail is made from a canvas drop cloth, the tiller is an axe handle, and the boat is all ACX ply.

It´s a bit tight in it for me, (6´2&quot but it is my first sail boat, and I was able to scoot around for around 4 hours before I was becalmed and got a tow from a power boater.

I was only yelled at twice, once told by a pontoon to "GET A REAL BOAT!" I can only assume that they were refering to a power boat instead of a sail boat. Of course, all they had was a raft with an engine. The other time I was called a "Windbagger." *shrug*

Jacques, you´re welcome to use the sail boat pictures on your site, I did not see any of a PK78 with sail when I looked last time. Of course, you may not want to use them, the boat is still pretty rough.

MattB
