Can you fill and drain them on the fly?

Hey Rick, the way they are set currently is they both fill at rest. Once you get going on plane they drain about 60% of the water. I could make it more controllable with addition of two pumps but trying to keep it simple if possible. The rear tank serves as a sea chest for bait and raw water pumps. Getting it dialed in!

Excellent. How long does it take to fill, and drain, the tank(s). And have you been able to compare the roll on the drift in a beam sea?

It really is nice.

Thanks cape! It takes about 3-4 minutes both directions. The stability is really improved. More than I thought it would be really. Weight down low helps A LOT.

Hi Jim, it's Doug42190 again. I have a couple of follow up questions that either I keep missing or maybe aren't there. How did you run you gas fill hoses? Are they in fact in the leaning post? And I wondered about how you ran your hoses and wires to the engines -- passing down the length of the hull I mean. Lastly, how many layers and of what did you end up putting on the inside walls of the hull?
Thanks.
Doug

Hey Doug, they run from the tank to the inside of the outer port stringer, toward the Stern on the outside of the big fishbox, then turn in toward centerline between the back of the fishbox Ann the front of the port aft cooler into the center bilge. From there they run inside the inner stringers thru the transom into the bracket. All that is about 12 ft from tank to engine.

Are you doing a 28 doug?
