About the keel, I hope you understand that the tape is only a part of the glass schedule. The wide fabric will overlap several inches over the keel and you will have a total of 4 layers inside and 4 layers outside in epoxy, not polyester. That means a total of 96 oz. plus the core. It is extremely strong.
