Amazing how you were able to blend that all back in. I bet you had lots of fun working on that bottom.

I put a gigantic industrial fan behind me when I lit into the bottom with the Mirka. The dust port on the Mirka was hooked up to my central vacuum system, it wasn't fun but it was not terrible. I bet you have done overhead fairing a time or three...

Done way too much overhead glassing with poly but none with epoxy. With epoxies longer set time did you have much trouble with sagging?

Fuzz, I didn't have any issues with sagging.
I mix the blended filler and epoxy until it's just a little thinner than peanut butter. Stiff but not dry.
I use a 12" drywall knife to apply the fairing to the big areas.
The trick is to put the fairing putty on thin so when it kicks it sets instead of running.
In our current state of mid 80's weather, the medium hardener worked well and dried fast.
I put three thin coats of fairing on in 2 hours and sanded the next day...

great job on the rebuild. i'll be taping the hell out of the top of my transom on my xf20 build lol :lol:.
