One Hell of the last two months.

Post by stickystuff »

Only a few knew this. My wife , who has been suffering from COPD has spent 12 days in the hos[ital, 30 days in Hospice where we thought at one time we were going to lose her and the last three weeks in an Rehab facility. Thank God we were able to bring her home today. From now on she will spend her last dying days at home. If you smoke, stop now. It ain't no picnic watching your loved ones suffering trying to breathe, We have been married for 52 yrs. and I don't know how much time we have left together. I will say hospice will treat your loved one like a king or queen. I can not say how much I appreciate the work they do for your loved ones. She is weak from being in a bed for two months. I am so sick from going back and forth in these facilities and working a full time job.I am flat wore out. Thank God she is at home now and this will be her finally resting place. All I can say is cherish :( :( the moment you have. One day at a time.

A little saw dust, a little glue, and a lot of love, and she will float.

Capt I hope things will turn around for you. It is a tough time you are going through and my thoughts are with you and your beloved. I know it is hard physically and even more mentally but hang in there.

Breathing hard is the worst.

My aunt died from copd. I don’t think she ever smoked, but got farmer lung from washing my hardworking uncles clothes ir some other dust.

Take care man and hope the other guys heed your advice. I quit smoking years ago.

Thanks for sharing this, and the two messages- take care of your health, and value every moment. May God grant you strength to carry on, and recognize the blessings He has for you.

Dougster, I am really sorry to read about your wife. You are probably the only couple in the boat forum that I have actually met. She impressed me as a delightful little woman. I hope for the very best for you in the time ahead.
