Sweet! Sounds like you are getting there! Even though the boat is heavy given the construction method, you do have a lot of weight and power on her ass! I think Richard is right...trim tabs are in her future.

Fuzz, When you figure out what you need, give me a shot as I might be able to get you a better price on the tabs!! Talk with AA & CapeMan as they can advise and I can get several of the best manufacturers!! Jeff

Hey Fuzz raise the motor to where your getting ventilation at speed on a sharp turn and back down 1/2 inch. That is where you need to be. Once you have that we can dial in the pitch you need. Record your rpms there also.

Tom it might be a while for the prop. I think I am right where I need to be for the height but I do not know about the prop. I was seeing 5400 rpm and still climbing when it started to porpoise enough to make me back off. I think 5400 is in the lower end of the recommended range so I will live with things until I get her all dialed in.

Jeff thanks for the heads up. When I figure out what I need and see if it will fit I will give you a call.

I have some tabs that were on a 24', but ram condition is unknown.

I could send them to you. Pretty sure the pump was trashed and I have no controls.

I could also just cut em up for backers, but seems wrong.

I can post a picture if you like. Thought they were a little wide.

That is a very generous offer Fallguy :!:
I think I will pass. I am pretty sure I would have more time and maybe money in them than just buying a complete new set. This is one of the things I envy you folks down south for, you have outlets for good used parts and can find stuff. No such luck around here.
I am interested in hearing others choice in type and brand of tabs. I have only had one set so not much personal knowledge to draw from.

I've only had Bennett on my boats. Never know anyone that had the electric. I'm curious too Fuzz.

Never had trim tabs, but will be interested to see what folks recommend. Thinking the SC16 might need a set.
