Edit - I see that it does..Starting to look good. Yeah, that air gap is a good insulator for temporary work.

This is the first C-Flex boat I ever built. It was not a bad way to go 30 years ago but not sure it still is. I do know it is now where as much fun as they way they are done here. Plus there is no support group like here and that makes a world of difference.

When I was much younger and full of energy I build this one also. It is 32x13. Not a very good finish on it but not needed for a work boat.
Hi Fuzz!

Was perusing your thread when I came across this beautiful behemoth. Very nice looking boat. Bet this one took a while to build. Looks like she could handle almost anything.

Hope all is well,

Bogie

Hello Bogie,
It took me about 8 months to build it. But I was in my 30's and had two other guys helping me. They worked 8 hours a day 6 days a week. It was more like 12 hours a day 7 days a week for me :help: There is no way I have the energy to do it again at this point in my life
How is your project coming along? Are you still having fun?

Man, I love the look of that hull! That thing looks like it was a brute!

It's hard to tell in the picture but is that snow or were you doing some sanding before Festool?

It was built to play bumper boat in Bristol Bay. Do a google search of fishing there and you will understand the bumper boat part. If you get hit port, starboard and in the transom all in the same minute you know you are in the hot spot.

For a large part of my working career that is what I did for my "vacation" I got a promotion at work that forced me to make a choice either job or fishing. I took the job but I still miss the fishing. Kept the boat just in case I had the chance to go fishing again.

Unfortunately not  The plan was to go back to commercial fishing when I retired but that has not worked out for a number of reasons.
