It's not like fallguy not to post for 2 weeks. Anyone know if he's OK?

Yes and No.

I am alive, but I have had some distractions and some health problems.

My back is really horrible. I am talking with a doctor tomorrow.

Despite my back troubles, I took a trip last Thirsday to Voyageurs National Park with my boat and was going to run some net for whitefish.

5.5 hours one way. Got there and the telltale showed no water and must have had a frozen line. Drove home. Put a new impeller and decided to go back up last Monday. So I was on a 5 day fishing trip; despite the back. During the trip, I actually had very little back pain. I got 39 fish.

Today I smoked 7 of them.

But everytime I tried to do much of anything; my upper back cramps badly. I have to stop moving when it does. The entire matter gets ridiculous. Walked to get the garbage can on the street Saturday and stopped with pain and someone driving by backed up and asked me if I was okay.

Anyhow, I had a nice time sitting in the boat and setting nets; very little pain on the trip. Endorphines?

Tomorrow; I am going to start back up on Skoota. Plan is to get some windows installed. Also, might try to get the cleats for the helm station tabbed in.. I will see how I am feeling during the day.

Temperatures here were heavenly. Today was 70s, tomorrows high is 68. Tuesdays high is 35F. :(

Sucks about the back but nice fish haul! We're having the same weather pattern here in VT, just an incredible couple of days! Reality on it's way back soon.
There are only two seasons in Vermont: boating season, and boat-building season.

Completed Paul Butler 14' Clark Fork Drifter

Hope your back stays 'better', perhaps the break was good for it and relaxing (mind and body) gave it a little chance to heal. Don't over do yourself. (but keep the progress coming :P)

Back problems are about the worst there is and too many times there is no way to fix them :(
I notice lots of places have wild temperature swings. That would suck. Makes it too hard to get used to what ever the temps are. Our problem here is it no longer stays cold. We get warm spells that melt the snow and when the cold returns the world is one big ice ball :help:
