I bet she's not as fat as you think.

Good progress, and looks like a mid year splash is within reach. Build on.
Currently building Jacques Mertens ST21 "Skinnydip". Boating adventures: Splash testing and using 'Skinnydip, as a basis of further building refinement; Adams 44’ sailing sloop "Great Sandy" (cruising and maintaining); Iain Oughtred Feather Pram "Mini Dip" (building); Jacques Mertens R13 "Wood Duck" (built and due for maintenance).

Well, temp fit the steps.
There is more wire fishing to do and painting the decks.
Just nice to have the steps. It is 27" up.

If I can get a finish half as good as that it will be a miracle. But I will try....
Keep up the amazing work it looks great.

Re: Woods Skoota 32DM
Bit of a setback today. I noticed my helm pump had a leak.
So, tore it all apart. Leaking at the fill plug. No access.
Tried to fit the seastar remote fill setup I spent some 65 bux on, but that did not work.
Had to go to hardware store, buy 16 bux in fittings, carve out a new spot for the fittings.
Now to put all back together....
Trying to decide if need sealant.
Plastic to plastic
Brass to cast aluminum
Need prayers...
My day is shot, had planned to wire lighting...

Tape all the threads like you would any other perm low-ish pressure hydraulic system fittings. I just had to rip apart a mess someone made using 4200. I don’t recommend that if you don’t want to buy all the parts again.
Im fighting with a seastar helm as well. Something is leaking but I can’t find it. Hoping I don’t need to recommend new rams. I’m not seeing any leaking from the seals though.

Try baby powder, or any other very fine dusty powder, to find the leak. Put it in a squeeze bottle and dust it around the areas you think it is leaking. It will really stick to the wet fluid.
Fallguy, the pictures of your helm look really nice but still doesn't reflect the size of the boat itself.
