I know this is a slightly older thread but would you mind sharing a few closer pics of the center console? This is something I'd love to do with my GF16 build.
It appears you were able to keep a hatch in the middle seat?

Sorry for the late reply - I was offline a lomg time. The first I did: I used cardboards to design the dimensions of my CC. I wanted to have good propertion CC to boat and the max space between the sides and the CC. I will take photos with dimensions the next days . You will then be able to copy or to use as an idea how to construct your own one. I first used a CC-design from here and then I cut the cardboard and decreased with the cutter more and more until I was satisfied. To hold the pieces in place i used duct-tape and zip ties .

Hope it helps you a little bit.

Bye
Bernd

Okay, here is the link to the pictures...

BTW : I made the CC removable - that means, I used stainless steel brackets and screwed them to the CC an to the midseat - if I sell the boat once a day (but I think that will never happen  ) the new owner could remove the CC and use a tiller engine.

No problem - thats my understanding of a message board -to help each other.
It would be fine if this would happen all over ther world - a lot would be much easier and less complicated / even more relaxed for everyone.

Keep on build an have fun !

BTW: I never felt unsafe in my GF16 - I had sometimes bad weather and rough conditions with waves of 1,5metre - I just had to slow down and to move very slow - but never one drop of water inside. The best flat bottom boat construction I ever saw.

If you have questions , feel free and send me a message - Cracker Larry helped me a lot too !
