No big deal. Mine never got too hard to sand well enough.

Re: Quikfair Questions
I am about to start fairing a hull of a 16' motor boat. The hull has been glassed with 12 oz. biaxial fiberglass and sanded with 80 grit paper. It has no other finish of any kind just the sanded biaxial cloth. I would like to use Quick Fair to fair the hull and would like to know if the hull should first be wiped down before applying any QF and what should I use to wipe the hull down with to get it clean and dust free. Any advice would be as always greatly appreciated.

Alcohol or acetone---I just use alcohol.

Seconding denatured alcohol, I use the stuff sold as fuel for alcohol stoves. Cheaper and less offensive to work with than acetone, I use it liberally.
Re: Quikfair Questions
I use denatured alcohol too. Here they sell it right next to the same stuff labeled “fuel” for about 30% less.

Re: Quikfair Questions
What is the lowest temperature that Quick Fair can be applied. I am not worried if it takes longer to cure but don't want to waste it or create more work for myself. Thanks.

Please see the Tech Data Sheet (TDS) for Quick Fair below.

Re: Quikfair Questions
Thanks very much Reid for the quick response. It is starting to get cool here in Nova Scotia but I think I will have enough time to get the last skim coat of Quick Fair on my hull. Do you know if the Pennant primer can be applied at similar temps. Thanks again.

Here is the TDS for Pennant Primer.
