Fuel Tanks and Bulkheads

Post by rbecker08 »

Hey guys it has been a while but we are still making steady progress. Exterior paint went on today, next all the fittings start going on and laying down decks. But before that I need to get the fuel tank figured out. I have it in its compartment and plan to run the fill, vent, fuel lines out one side and the electric wire to the gauge out the opposing side. A couple of questions, I know managing fuel vapor is a safety concern, so i figured I can't run the fuel lines out a simple hole cut in the bulkhead. What types of fittings should I be looking at to keep that compartment isolated (Same question for the electric wire). Also I'll put a hatch in to access the gauge and hose connections but that will let small amounts of water in over time. Any recommendations on managing that while still doing whats needed to isolate the fuel tank. My basic understanding is I want to keep that compartment sealed off, but not sure how to manage the issues that causes. Thanks Rich
