The most important time for power is backing off the anchorage; assuming you plan to beach. Again, buy the motor that offers the biggest prop.

Another consideration is charging house batteries. You want a decent alternator.

The Suzuki 20 has a 14-amp alternator is larger than on some other brands bigger motors. A Yamaha 70 has 15 amps but only at full throttle. So not bad for a little 20HP. jbo Powertech props have a 4-blade prop that would work well for you. It is the Class A SRT 4-blade. It has moderate rake which will hold onto the water better than one without rake. I cannot tell you what pitch you need at this time as that depends on a lot of variables.
