Sharpie 14 Build
Good day everyone. Looking for some guidance on my new Sharpie 14 build that I started on Saturday. I am specifically looking for some guidance on the assembly of the centerboard box and the CB assembly. The plans call for a lead and epoxy weighed area. Any suggestions on how to make this and what to use for "lead". Also the plans are not clear on the what line should be tied and where to the CB. Looking forward to making progress on this now that the wife and kids are away on vacation! Thanks!

Hi, welcome to the forum!
I'm not familiar with that boat. But there are various ways to embed lead in the CB. Cut circular holes and epoxy lead in the recess is one of the easiest. I did this on my (larger) CB for the VG23. I wish I'd have done the same for the CB on my FB11.

I used a roll of roof lead flashing bought (I think) from Amazon and cut it to size, then flattened it and epoxied it in place in layers, but there are other options. Some people melt and pour their own lead to fit.
As for the line on the CB and where it goes, I'm not sure as I've not seen the plans.
Good luck with your build. I'll be following along.
