fly fishing from a D4 (website and pictures)

Post by AMStoehr »

I have seen in the archives that many people have asked about standing and fly casting from a D4. I have recently finished mine and took it out for its first fishing trip today. It was a pleasure to fish from, and standing was no problem whatsoever, at least for me (5´7", about 155 pounds).

For those interested, I´ve got a fairly complete set of "in progress" and "in use" photos on my website (which will be updated regularly - click on the web icon below this message). I´ve also attached a photo from today´s fishing trip to Dana Harbor, in southern California.

Andrew

Mr. Mertens, refund that man his free plans money and buy that photo. It´s the best one on Bateau.

Lon,

Thanks for the compliments! I told my friend Lane, who took the photo, that I´d buy him a beer if my plans money was refunded!

Andrew
