C 12 frame locations

Post by Salty »

Jacques, other builders,

The C12 plan D224/4 Stations and Frames detail the placement of the frames relative to the bow, transom and each other. 2 ft. 3 in., 4 ft. 2 in. 2 ft. 9 in. etc., I assume the locations are marked after the sides are in place and are curved. What is the easiest way to mark the frame locations on the sides? Or are the locations marked before the sides are bent into shape?

It's explained in the building notes: you don't need to mark the hull panels.
Either measure between frames or use a spacer (2x2 batten) cut to the distance between frames.
