Anybody heard from Macca lately? Or maybe he's just going to torment us with lil' peaks at his boat here and there? I'm certainly looking forward to seeing some pics of her on her lines and floating proudly.

Macca,

Thanks for this particular picture, and letting us all see your building progress along the way. She's a stunner to say the very least, congradulations again.

Mine will start in April of this next year, I may have a quick ping or two through the fun, hope I might ask to bennifit from your experience if it gets real dark.

Cheers to you, bride and boys.

S.D.-

Macca sent me an email this morning with one or two additional photos - here's one:

Seems like he was a bit worried about a few things - like clearing overhead cables on the road to the marina, etc. - but all went well. He told me he ran a length of PVC from bow to roof to deflect any overhead wires that might have sagged (great tip) and had never noticed that there were so many overhead wires until now!

The launch was yesterday (Friday) but unfortunately I wasn't able to get there. However, he's promised me a cruise around Moreton Bay in the near future!! :D 8) :P

Not yet - I asked the question in my response to his email but haven't had an answer yet. He's probably having too much fun....

Bugger! Yup, can't imagine him letting it sit in the marina after all he's gone through to build it. Tell him he's got a fan club here waiting for pics of her at speed. The last pic you posted adorns every computer screen we have at home and work and at last count that was hmmm? 6!

Thanks Mike.

Hi Rick,

The boats name is "Stella". The reason for this name is the boys started calling her Stella half way through construction.

My wife likes the name because she loves the movie "A Streetcar Named Desire" where Marlon Brando yells out "Stellaaaaaaaa!

My mate likes the name because he just likes to yell out "Stellaaaaaaaa!"

The reason the boys call her Stella is because that is what I yell out when I want a beer. "Stellaaaaaaaa!"

I like the name because in Latin "Stella" means "Star" and that is what I think she is.

Macca.
