Hey guys
Finished the yak last weekend. :D Sorry I didn't post a blow by blow but I've got some pics of how we got there for those interested. We did a dry fit on the deck and collar.
Image
Then glued and taped the deck. Used duct tape to hold the deck till the glue dried, pulled it and taped the deck to the hull.
Image
Sanded and faired everthing. The collar was hard to fill. Being round with rounded egdes made it tough to fair.
Put 2 coats of left over primer before finish paint.
Image
Put 3 coats of cheap paint and the hardware on it and there you have it.

Hope to have some splash pics this weekend. My son is coming down to test it out. Hope it floats.

Nice. 8)

Could have used it in Bradenton earlier today. Found leaks around the chimney... the hard way... :?

Went out on the lawn, backwards, to inspect the roof and the tarp now on it over the chimney, and put the foot in a growing pond of about six inches of water. Should I get goldfish? With the rain forecast tonight, maybe I should dump something bigger in there...

Looks like you're getting the rain tonight too. Early unscheduled splash? If so, you've gotta post a picture.

Yea, It is on the back deck right now, upside down and getting plenty wet. That can not be a splash, could it.

Have you seen what's coming your way tonight on the radar? Have the camera ready if she floats...
