How good is that Petite easypoxy? I'm thinking about it for my next boat. 8)
Well, one man's opinion, it's better than S3 for about the same price. It's not as good as Sterling, but it's a lot less expensive. I would rate it good to very good, and it does a really nice job with rolling and tipping. There wasn't a brush mark in the first 2 coats, but it warmed up 10 more degrees and there is a couple in the last coat. I should have thinned a little more, but every day is different with paint  I've used it in the past and will use it again.
I think those are the same scuppers I'm using, how do you keep them closed under that angle? If it is with a spring or something how does the water flow out?
No, the flappers just hang there with gravity. A wave against them pushes them closed, water running out pushes them open. But the flappers are covering the 3 drain tubes in the transom that you see in this picture...

If things go bad you can still plug the holes from the inside with standard 1 1/4 drain plugs.

Okay I understand, how many degrees is that transom? because I tried to do it the same way and the flappers were hanging open, that's why I made those vertical extension blocks.

This transom is about 15 degrees and they do hang slightly open at rest, but a wave against them will push them closed. I don't think much of them myself, but it's not my boat :D The captain wanted flappers, so he's got flappers. I wanted plugs, so I installed plugs. Now he has both.

Thanks Steven. The swim platform is built by my friend Raymond, and the jack plate is a CMC Power Lift. It's a nice unit, nicer than the T-H Marine, not as nice as Bobs Machine, IMO, but it's pretty nice 8) Didn't cut my hands installing it, anyway.

And the good news of today is that she's gone home. just a little chain saw work to get the fat girl out of the driveway... The owner is happy, and so am I :D

Wow...that really turned out nice. Good job! :D

Question...

When you tab a panel in like you did on the transom, what do you do to ensure that the new surface is flat for fairing after the tabbing is laid? Do you grind down the laminates on both pieces to create a small valley, or do you just surface grind and end up with a thicker laminate in the corners that you taper out? Does that make sense?

Thank you very much Brian :D

You end up with a thicker laminate in the corners. I don't really grind anything, just lightly sand down the binder threads in the cloth, and then sand the edge of each seam down to taper into the next. Don't want to lose any strength by grinding into the laminates. You will then flatten it out using fairing compound.

If anyone is interested, the total bill of materials for the job was...

2 1/2 sheets of 3/4" BS1088 meranti ply
1 sheet 3/8" BS1088
1/2 sheet 1/2" BS1088
7 gallons epoxy
5 pounds wood flour, 1 pound silica, 1 pound blended filler
150 yards 12 oz. biax tape
10 yards 12 oz. biax cloth
7 yards 1708 cloth
1 1/2 quart kit Quick Fair
1 quart primer (2 coats)
1 quart finish paint (3 coats)
1 quart Kiwi Grip
50 disposable brushes
1 good brush
36 roller covers
5- 40 grit grinder disks
50 -80 grit sanding disks
50- 120 grit sanding disks
10- 220 grit sanding disks
Sandpaper for hand sanding, 80, 120, 220 grits, 1 pkg, each
1 qt. mineral spirits
2 qt. denatured alcohol
1 gallon white vinegar
1 roll masking tape
Labor 290 hours

Thanks to Joel for keeping the epoxy flowing  And thanks to yall who followed the project :D
