I use the same and it holds up well. If you apply it over 1-2 coats of epoxy it will look very thick without having to apply a million coats. Theoretically sealing the wood so it doesn't expand and contract as much also helps it last longer since it is harder but therfore more brittle than varnish. Anyway it's good stuff, I tend to always prefer the durability of two part coatings even though they are a little more work to apply.

Sanding down the gunwales and foredeck on Clara are still on the list, but the end of July and August have thrown a few twists.
Started with a really good trip and fall the end of July all the way down the front stairs to the house landing on my left ribs below my scapula...that is just now healed. Second time in my life I've really whacked my ribs, and I'm hoping to never have a third.
Then Tropical Storm Debby surprised us and a lot of others with a ridiculous amount of rain (we got 13 inches over 2 days), and gave us shoulder deep water under the house and almost a week before it cleared the swimming pool. The cover over Clara was also a casualty as the water couldn't get off in time and it ripped.
New cover on today!! Going to inventory supplies and see what I need to bring her back to glory.

Well that's a pretty bad run of luck and cincumstances. Hope you get back to normality as soon as possible!

Hope it does not leave you with as big of a mess as the last flood did. Good news is you should not need to water the grass for a while :D

The ribs are healed, the "Back in Business " picture was last week, and today we put a new lid on the boat shelter. Just lost a month to "issues". All good.

I didn't post for sympathy, just to let everyone know why I haven't started tackling the boat. I live in paradise but it comes with a price sometimes...a price I'm more than willing to pay.
Thanks for the concern but don't feel sorry for us. I got this....

Now, with all that said, when we get HIT by a Cat 4 or 5, a tornado, or a flood that puts water in the house, please offer some sympathy.
