Eric I went with about 100f. The first gallon I heated up to about 120f and you only had about 10 seconds to stir before it started to go off.
Top Water thanks for the info I will check them out when I get back. So far you have your buddy under control but I am not sure it will last

Well I got back from my little trip and back on the boat. Nothing picture worthy just starting to install some deck. I am using 3/4 nidacore for the deck. I will be glad to get some deck down so I do not have to walk on a slant.

Speaking of the deck I am planning on 3/4 nidacore with 17oz on the under side and two layers on top. Anybody who has used this stuff does that sound like enough glass?

Fuzz, It's just past 5 o'clock Sunday here in Noosa, so I've just raised a glass to Cracker Larry. Now I'm raising one to you as a fellow deck builder.

Thanks GB, it is nice to be in the same toast as CL
I am not feeling like there is any rush on the boat today. This winter is never going to end so no need for a boat. I woke up to 3 inches of fresh snow on the ground.

April fools one day late I guess.

I have fished with a commercial guy who had a nidacore deck.
He was pretty redneck, I'm sure he didn't put two layers of 17oz on the topside.
The deck was strong and didn't flex, but it was well supported with stringers and framing.
The lamination schedule you are suggesting should work well...
Are you going to be using 1708?

Thanks Richard. I have both 1708 and some 17 oz plain biax. I like to use the plain biax more because the 1708 is a pain to wet out. I think I can put down two layers of 17oz and use the same amount of resin as one layer of 1708. I have not kept close track but it sure feels that way to me. As for the span the max is just under 20 inches. I made up a 27 inch by 96 inch panel with 2 and 1 layer of 17oz biax. When I picked it up by one end I could see some flex in the panel. Not sure if that means anything or not

I would love to go ahead and get all the deck down but I am waiting for my fuel tank to arrive.

Well I am feeling brave so I thought I would show what I am thinking of making my boat look like.

This design looks strange to you folks down south but it works better in so many ways I just want to try it.
All that being said if anyone sees CapeMan buying tickets to Alaska please give me a little warning
