Been patiently waiting.
Now it's happened.
The child bride is asking when we might go cruising again.
Currently building Jacques Mertens ST21 "Skinnydip". Boating adventures: Splash testing and using 'Skinnydip, as a basis of further building refinement; Adams 44’ sailing sloop "Great Sandy" (cruising and maintaining); Iain Oughtred Feather Pram "Mini Dip" (building); Jacques Mertens R13 "Wood Duck" (built and due for maintenance).
Too weird...I was just logging in to send you a PM and email to see where the heck you've been! Great to see you're still around and planning another cruise.
Any progress on Skinnydip's emotor?

So glad to hear from you GB. Even if it is not one of your long classic cruises just getting out there will be great. Lot happened here to me since my last post to you. I had my second back surgery in April and my wife Deb passed on June 30 at only 70 1/2 years old. God bless you and your child bride for being able to take your cruises and keeping me young at heart. Regards, Tom

Soon after my last post I decided to seriously decouple from all social media for a time. I'm back on the air now.
We had a very pleasant ten-week Great Sandy cruise, returning to the Noosa River late last year. The weather was often challenging, so we just hid in snug anchorages until it changed. We spent more days at anchor than sailing, and were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed doing so.
Now I'm tackling a longish list of maintenance work on Great Sandy. I'll probably then mess around in Skinnydip for a time.

I was VERY happy to log on today and see a post from you I am happy for that you guys have been able to make another cruise in your summer weather. I am just waiting for warmer weather to come to the north land. I had planned on doing a little winter king fishing today but the harbor was choked with ice. I might have been able to push my way through but not a smart idea with an outboard powered boat
Good to know you only decoupled from social media and are still going at it. Not knowing what is going on with an old cloof is always a bit worrisome...
Hurry up with the repairs/maintenance of the blow boat, and even if you're not posting on that, I need Skinny Dip updates!

Yeah, you had this "youngster worried". Glad to hear you and Mrs are still making me jealous.
GS just getting standard varnish and such or is she up for something bigger?
My already completed 'Lil Bit'. A Martens Goosen V12 set up to sail me to the fishing holes.

I tried to say something but God thought I was wrong and filled my mouth with saltwater. I kept my pie hole shut after that.
