Morning,
While I'm on a roll if you wanted to put a fuel tank of between 100 to 120 litres under the sole/deck in a panga22, I realise the tank would have to be a fairly narrow and rectangular in shape and custom made. Would it be best situated between stations C and E or between stations D and F. as per plan D266/4. The reason I want to put a tank under the deck is so as to optomise the storage space avaliable and where the fuel tank goes according to the plans I was hoping to use as a storage compartment. As i dont want to build any more storage compartment's so that I can get the maxium amount of clear deck space I can.

You can bump.. It doesn't hurt. Jacques is on vacation and I believe he is back next week. You will probably see a response when he can get caught back up on the message board

I had a tank built for the Panga 20 and installed it under the deck for the same reason. The only down side is it would be necessary to cut it out if you had to take it out. My tank is about 18 gallons, cost about 200.

Evening Dynamo,
Thank's for the input mate just a couple of quick questions if you dont mind. Which frames did you put your'e tank between, is the tank in front of c/console and how do you go about filling it did you put in an inspection hatch and fill directly into the tank.
Many Thank's
Gary

Gary, I don't have the plans in front of me but the tank is just aft of the casting deck (forward of the C console). The fill and vent tubes exit at the rh front side so the connections are under the casting deck.I have a round inspection hatch over the fuel feed/ fuel level indicator attach. I filled around and under the tank with expanding foam.

The plans show where the tank should go. Theer isn;t much room under the sole for a large enough tank, we tried.

Morning,
Thank's for the info Dynamo , Jacquesmm if it isn't really viable to put a tank under the sole would it be okay to put a larger tank where the plans show for the tank to go. Say increasing the tank size from 18 gallons to 25 gallons.
Thanks
Gary

Yes, you can increase the size to 25 gallons.
