Jacques, lets make a thread for it:

I don't forget it but I have been busy with this:

Image

It's not finished, I may change a few things.

It's 26' long by a little more than 8' wide, easily driven hull, flat bottom!!! with a skeg (prop is protected) offshore capable, diesel inboard, top speed 18 mph with a 50 HP, same inside layout than our LB26.

No other specs, I am still working on it.
I may lower that "windshield".

I really am digging that boat!

When you say flat bottom, are we talking semi-planing double wedge or are we talking a sharpie?

MORE INFO!

I am definitely interested, although the funds might be tapped out for a few months on the Nina project.

Sharpie with well immersed bow to reduce slamming.

I like that Design. As far as the "windshield" goes, I like the height and curves of it. I'd keep it, and maybe try routing out the center and adding some plexi and making it a true windshield. Would increase forward visibility for any deck passengers.

Looks similiar to the Parker Marine 27'

But If your going to do the plans I would be up to building one of these , just what ive been looking for .

Jacques,

The boat looks beautiful! I like the curved windshield too!

One suggestion - Consider making an outboard an option. I've looked into and studied installing an inboard engine. There are a lot of subsytems to consider and they will make it too complex for most amateur boatbuilders. I believe you will sell more plans and more boats will be built if you make an outboard an option.

Bolger's Blackbird was an outboard version cruiser.

Thanks for all of the great designs!

Im going to have to agree.

At least an option to go outboard would be nice, although I understand thats two different boats, not just a simple details page change.

To do it right, I would have to redesign the hull for an out board.
I'll finish the inboard first.
