I just started cutting out pieces for the GV13 and can´t find one of the dimensions. What I´m looking for is the distance from the top of frame E to where the bow seat will sit. Also I have an idea of making a live well under the bow seat and storage under seat A/B. Obviously I will have for forgo foam but is there any other issues that would make that a bad idea? Thanks Jeff.

Sorry, there is no explicit dimension for the seat position. However, it´s the same as the other seats: glue a cleat across the forward edge of frame E at the top of the frame. Glue and tape the seat on top of the cleat and frame. The seat is horizontal, as same as the other seats. See the second drawing, section marked "Assembly 7" for the profile view.

If it helps, the forward edge of the seat is exactly 9" below the sheer line (measured vertically, not along the hull). You can put a piece of wood across the hull at the sheer and measure down from there.

I think most people prefer live wells to be at the stern of the boat so that the live bait doesn´t get jostled/pounded as much by the boat´s motion. As well, if you plan to incorporate a pump to circulate the water, then the bow may be a bit high at times (especially when running) to keep the pump pickup in the water.

How about the live well in part of A/B frames (don´t make it too big; it will be too heavy) and using the under bow seat for storage?

Evan Gatehouse

Thanks Evan, I think you have a good point about putting the live well at the stern. I think I´ll end up with better storage capacity under the bow seat anyway.
Jeff
