Spot repairs

Post by Cracker Larry »

Joel, my last coat went on almost perfect, we can call it 95%, but I had a couple of spots that sagged. I tried to fix them, too late in the game and made them worse.

So I've got a couple of spots, about 1 sq. ft. each that need sanding and re-painting. Do you think it's possible to do a decent spot repair without painting the entire hull? If so, how should I proceed? I know that if I paint the entire thing again I'll mess up another spot :help:

Feeling like a dog chasing it's tail

Thanks.

I have only done a spot repair once, it turned out pretty good (it looked better than the run it was covering)

I thinned the paint a little more, and then had to buff the edges in so that the overlap blended in

That's what I was thinking, thanks. I'll give it a try. Rush me out that brushing reducer I just ordered

Sam wants it all to look like like this ...
