Drain tube flaring tool

Post by Cracker Larry »

Joel, thanks for making this a permanent topic 8) I'll copy mine from the other thread.

I see I've already broken the rules, sorry
I've started by donating a drain tube flaring tool to the BBC community. This is a must have to install the tubes correctly, but something you only need for a couple of days during a build.

It's free to anyone here who needs it The only charge is that you have to pay the shipping (5$) to the next person. Keep the tool clean and don't forget you have it.

I've finished up with it and sent it to Craig (Cape Man). When he is finished he will ship it to the next user, and so on. If we can keep up with it, it will help build a lot of boats and save each builder about $50

If you need it, get your name on the list

Well it is finished....
The tool will not crimp both sides on a 1/2" transom so I put a washer on the already crimped side and crimped the cut side... I am adding a tool to the list that will stay with the crimp dies.... a small tube cutter harbor freight has them on sale for $4.00 and I am going to add it to the package because this brass tubing is a pain to cut without one it likes to get flat spots when you cut it with a jigsaw anyways Tool is ready to ship next week...
