Do I have to...

...sand :x my primer before laying sterling top coat? Just going for a work boat finish for the inside. Put 3 coats of S3 primer on today and chose not sand between coats. Was this ok, if initially it was sanded??

Because Sterling goes on so thin it will show every little brush stroke and roller stroke you have. A sanding with 220 will get rid of most of them, but not all of the bumps and hollows that you may have if you took the time to really fair the inside.

yes, you need to sand the primer smooth (22o minimum) or your going to have a super glossy bumpy paint job. But if you OK with that, there is nothing incompatible here, only cosmetic
