Re: Seacraft 23 - shine
Joel, looks really good, enjoy her. As far as the tape, i thought that always lift first the last piece you put down, so this way you lift only that piece of tape. I'll call you, need to order some more stuff.

Looks great! Once you get the final prop/electronics installed, be sure to post some performance numbers!

Re: Seacraft 23 - shine
she did get bloody this weekend speared some mangrove snappers and sheephead off the beach. Still no electronics, so we stayed right along the beach, but I ran her a total of about 60 miles and we burned just over 1/4 of one tank, maybe 18 gallons
Definitely need more prop though, with three guys, gear, and baitwell full I could get her to 6200 and still had some room to go on the throttle. She is not fast, but the fuel burn looks like I will be able to fish as much as I want without it hurting the pocket book.
Saw another rebuilt 23 out on the water, she has a 300 hp Merc She flew by me at about 50 mph. I can tell the hull is happy at faster speeds. If I do re-power her, i think I might go with a 250 or even 300 4 stroke
