Owner has decided to repaint the Hourston 26 I am working on with Sterling , applied by Roll and tip. I think 2 galllons will be adequate to do the hull, and 1/2 gallon for decks, with some areas in Kiwi Grip. Am I on the right track?
Also have sanded hull to 120 grit, will use S3 high build primer prior to topcoat - is 1 gallon going to be enough or do you think I will need 2 gallons?
Thanks

Re: How much Sterling ?
how primer depends on how much you sand it, you will use at least 1 gallon, I would get two.
Sterling topcoat goes on very thin, you can easily get 250-300 square feet per gallon.
You dont want to run out and have to wait a week to finish.

Thanks Shine,
Will have to wait a couple of weeks for it to get a bit warmer, daytime highs just making it to the low to mid 40s, sometimes making it into the 50s!
