The hieroglyphic looking stuff is Cyrillic, or Russian, as I understand.

We used tack cloth when I was building r/c airplanes as a final prep before painting, fiberglassing, or covering with film. VERY nice stuff that picks up the tiniest of particles. But they really winged us on the pricing then. I like this link to the stuff from the box store - great info here!
