i have been looking over this forum for quiet a few moths now. After a lot of painful thinking and weighing up things i purchused the ph16 plans. im starting to doubt if it was the right decision. I live in queensland australia, however i have spent most of my life flyfishing down south for trout. I was looking at moving back down there, however it looks like my wife loves it up here to much, and we both have really good jobs up here as well. The ph16 would have been perfect for all the fishing down there. i was intending on fishing the big impoundments and also a bit of saltwater fly in the esturies. The ph16 still my fill my needs here in queensland. i want a boat that i can fly/lure in the esturies up here as well as the freshwater dams they have for barramundi and bass. i also would love to chase some tuna and mackeral out in moreton bay on the fly, but it can get a bit nasty out there. Im happy just to pick the right days for the bay, but want to know if it blows up can i get back home reasonably safe. This bay is basicly the ocean, but is pretty shallow. Should i look for something with a bit deeper v that i can still take on smaller waters, or build the ph16 and pick my days for the bay? want i want in a boat (which is probably too much as we all are guilty of) is casting deck, bow mount electric, bimini for the lazy trolling days, centre or side console, any hp, live bait tank, hatches/ storage, stable, can take a bit of chop, shallow water, and not too big (over 18,19ft). Im probably fussing over nothing and the ph16 will do more for me than it wont, were as another boat that can handle rougher water will probably only do just that! any ideas you guys have would be much appreciated. This will be my first build. I have been looking to build for about 9 years now and was never in the position to do so with work and previous relationship. i am now,and have a very supporting wife, and watching bassmuns build has inspired me like you would not believe. Thanks, Leigh.
