Boat Plans Pages

Post by Gopher »

For the past couple of days I can't seem to get to the main 'Bateau.com' boat plan site without getting an 'unable to connect' error or a 'timed out' error. I've tried four different computers/devices with three different browsers and from three different geographic locations. I can't seem to get to the videos on the tech support site, either and those would be VERY helpful. Thought ya'll'd want to know.

I am copying the whole bateau2 to a new server.
It will take a day or two to do the DNS propagation after I am finished.
Until the DNS propagate, you will be able to access the tutorials at:
http://72.167.200.53/~bateau2/

It is already partially but please leave it alone until later tonight.

After that I'll move bateau.com.

In the mean time, the great tech.support at godaddy wiped our entire hard disk!!!
We subscribed to a weekly backup but I wonder if they can restore.

Please do not blame our webmaster for this, it was a godaddy hardware failure.

As the webmaster of a couple of sites I can attest to Godaddy's wonderful ability to screw stuff up. I had to comepletely rebuild our Sheriff's Office site a while back after Godaddy got through with it. Luckily I had backup files saved, but it was still a pain moving everything from dreamweaver back to a new server

Those idiots wiped the HD just after I asked them to move it to a USB enclosure and plug it in the reprovisioned machine.
I paid for it, they charged my credit card and oops, they clicked on the wrong button.

Wonderful! (loaded with sarcasm) With mine I paid to upgrade our account and in the process the did upgrade out account, although they somehow "lost" all my files in the process. Good thing I had backups of everything on my laptop and thumb drive, but dang it's a pain to re-upload an entire site :x

Judging by their Super Bowl ads, shouldn't their hardware failure be curable with a dose of Viagara??

Sorry - Had to inject the humor into this one!

Really sorry to hear about that mistake...

It is 99% fixed right now.
All the boat plans pages are up except 2, same for most of the kits.
If you don't find something, please email.
