I really like the Sebastian idea. Haven't been there since they were blasting the channel to build the bridge in the early 60's. It was where I found out not to stick my finger in a fish's mouth when he has "buck teeth"!

I agree with the 2 event idea. Its always nice to go south for a visit and having another event in the panhandle or south Alabama/or Mississippi could help broaden the base of boat builders.

There is a fishing camp in Gautier, MS...the name is Tucei's (or Hercules Fishing Camp)

There are boat slips below each lodge and Mary Walker Marina is right next door.

Barrier islands (Horn, Sand, and Petit Bois) are about 10 miles off shore, oil rigs start at 5-7 miles past the islands.
