I appreciate everyone´s input on this thread. For those that have found much better pricing, can you post the retailer information?

I have spoken to a few other retailers in the area. They will order it, but the costs are about the same as Boulter. Some actual order from Boulter.

I still haven´t found anyone local (within 70 miles) carries Marine Tech or XL plywood.

Jacques, any plans for your company to sell plywood??

Marine fir vs Okoume?
An update. I found Harbor Sales (in MD) on the internet. They have the following:

1/4 Okoume for 50.57
3/8 Marine Fir (A/A) for 46.25
1/2 Marine Fir (A/A) for 50.95

Shipping is approximately $115 to MA. Including shipping, it is less than the local suppliers.

Their website is www.harborsales.net. It looked to me like they were a wholesale distributor, but I called them and was told that they will sell to individuals. I am going to see if a local supplier will meet these prices (adjusting for shipping costs). If not, I will probably order from Harbor Sales.

[ This message was edited by: fishingdan on 11-10-2002 10:40 ]

Harbor Sales will wave the shipping charges for orders over a certain amount (can´t remember but it might be $1,500). If the two or more are within reasonable proximity and combine their orders they might save some $$...$150 is worth saving...you could by another set of plans!!!
