Why we should only purchase supplies from bateau!

Post by Adam »

Ok guys, I had to learn my lesson the hard way. I ran out of wood flour that came in my epoxy kit. So I searched around and found out that the shipping was about 2 dollars cheaper from sailnet.com than it was here at bateau/boat builder central. Being the cheap-skate that I am, I ordered from sailnet. The order was supposed to ship the next day and on my door step in 3 days.

One week went by and I still didn't have it and hadn't heard anything from sailnet. So I e-mailed them and they told me it had been placed on back order. They also said that they should have it in the next seven days. Already I had missed one good weekend of working on my boat. Then TWO more weeks go by and I still have not recieved the flour. And yet again, they do not contact me to tell me whats going on. I email them and find out that they don't expect to get the shipment in for another week!

I understand that sometimes places have to backorder things and it is out of their control at that point. However, it was terrible service on their behalf not to contact me to let me know it was on backorder.

My boat has been on hold for almost 1 month now!

I cancelled my order with them and ordered from bateau like I should have done in the first place.

I can't wait to start working on my boat again...
